Leicester City aiming at £40m Celtic swoop for Nigeria star Iheanacho

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, is ready to listen to more bids for Nigeria striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, to help fund a £40m Celtic swoop.

Only on Sunday Aston Villa came up with an interest but they were yet to be specific on their terms.

But the Foxes are said to be keen on landing in-demand Parkhead star Odsonne Edouard this summer but must raise funds if they wish to land the 22-year-old.

Edouard kicked off his season in the SPL with a hat-trick on Sunday, hitting three in his side’s 5-1 win over Hamilton.

And there will be plenty of interest in his signature this summer.

Iheanacho, meanwhile, joined Leicester in 2017 for a fee believed to be in the region of £25m and, if reports by Daily Mail to be believed, could depart this month to raise funds for an Edouard swoop.

The Nigerian forward, who started his career with Manchester City, scored ten goals this season in just 26 appearances with many of those coming from the bench this term.
