Inter monitor their players on international duty

Inter have reportedly contacted the respective nations to ask for daily updates for their players on international duty.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the slow start to the new season, the dense programme in club competitions, the short break during the summer and the injury situation at San Siro has prompted Inter to contact the respective nations where their players are currently training.

After key members like Chile international Alexis Sanchez returned injured form the last national break in October, the newspaper reports the Nerazzurri are worried for their star players this month.

Antonio Conte’s staff have been in touch with the Federations to ask for attention and updates on their players’ training routines.

Belgium gave the Nerazzurri one less worry, as Romelu Lukaku will sit out the friendly against Switzerland this week.

There are some concerns for Christian Eriksen too, who has travelled to play with Denmark, where a member of staff has tested positive for coronavirus.

Inter are hoping to be able to monitor their players during their respective retreats to avoid further setbacks as the Nerazzurri push to turn things around after the break.
