Chelsea left-back Alonso working hard to redeem himself under new boss
Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso is striving to justify himself under new manager, Thomas Tuchel.
Alonso and fellow left-back Cesar Azpilicueta recently helped the Blues to a 2-0 win at home.
The player was delighted to prove the doubters wrong with a fantastic goal against Burnley in the Premier League.
The 30-year-old has been out of favour under the former manager Frank Lampard.
But he got a chance to show his quality under Tuchel.

“We knew it would be dangerous against this team with the long balls and set-pieces so I was there to help,” he told the club website.
“It’s been a while since I played but I’ve been working hard and I’m just happy that I was ready.
“A lot of things have been said out there but I like to work, be quiet and talk on the pitch so that was for the fans. It’s good to get the reward and hopefully there will be more to come.”
