Aborted transfer: Chelsea decide against selling Anjorin to Lokomotiv Moscow

Chelsea have stopped the proposed bid to ‘give out’ Tino Anjorin to Lokomotiv Moscow.

Despite several transfer windows across Europe slamming shut on Tuesday, reports suggest Anjorin is still closing in on a loan switch to Russia – where the market remains open until September 7.

According to Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano,  the 19-year-old is on the verge of signing for Loko on a season-long loan deal after an agreement between all parties was sealed this week.

The Athletic says the deal will include a £17million option-to-buy clause which can be triggered at the end of the loan, while Chelsea have negotiated a £34million buy-back clause should that come to fruition.

As well as heading out to Eastern Europe, Anjorin is also expected to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.
