AFCON: CAF names Kenyan referee for Nigeria vs Guinea Bissau clash

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Kenyan official Peter Waweru Kamaku as referee for Nigeria’s Group D clash with Guinea Bissau on Wednesday at the ongoing AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.

Kamaku had earlier refereed the Group C duel of Comoros and Gabon

The 39–year-old has a doctorate degree in Pure Mathematics and is a university lecturer.

Kamaku will be assisted by compatriot Gilbert Cheruiyot (assistant referee 1), Mozambican Arsenio Maringule (assistant referee 2) and Moroccan Redouane Jiyed (fourth official).

The match commissioner will be Youssouf Guedi Guirreh from Djibouti.
