AFCON: Sadio Mane, Edouard Mendy team up for Teranga Lions

Nations Cup 2019 finalists Teranga Lions of Senegal will no doubt be hoping to push themselves higher as the battle of supremacy gradually approaches in Cameroon.

Senegal narrowly lost to Algeria in the 2019 edition in Egypt but received a pat on the back for impressive run at the Pharaohs enclave despite missing the trophy.

Ahead of the Cameroon edition the duo of Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy jetted out to join their compatriots in the Teranga camp to begin the chase for glory.

The duo left after weekend premier league assignments. They are as usual expected to provide the needed push to fire the team to victory.

Senegal begin their campaign a week today against Zimbabwe, subsequently they face Guinea on the January 14 and round off group stage fixtures with a clash with Flames of Malawi on the 18th. Senegal are one of the favorites for the trophy according to pundits.
