AFCON: We don’t have to change our style for Cameroon – Iwobi

Alex Iwobi believes the Super Eagles don’t have to change their style when they meet Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday.

The Super Eagles have been criticized for defensive approach at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria’ has registered only three goals so far in the tournament; one from the penalty spot and another an own goal.

Speaking ahead of the round of 16 clash against Cameroon, Iwobi said the team is thinking about winning games.

“I don’t think we have to change anything going into the game. The most important thing is to win.

“It doesn’t matter if you win 5-0, 2-0 . And it is knock out. So all you have to do is to win the game and through to the next round.

“I’ll say, we should continue to defend well, create chances and hopefully the strikers out the ball in.”

The Super Eagles edged Cameroon 3-2 at the same stage during 2019 edition in Egypt.
