Super agent, Jorge Mendes, had a deal in place for Manchester United to sign Barcelona whiz Ansu Fati, it has been revealed.
According to Sport, a stunning deal for a La Liga star came close for the club.
United were linked with a move for Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer willing to pay the 17-year-old’s £153m fee.
With the Spanish giants hit hard by Covid-19, Mendes took the opportunity to put a deal together worth €150m [£133m] for the forward who has already scored 13 goals in 45 games for the club.
But Barca “refused to assess the proposal”, despite describing it as a “dizzying” prospect for the club.
The report states this may not be the end, though, as the super-agent is expected to bring the figures back to the Nou Camp team “in times of crisis” to put pressure on a sale.
