Agu: Uzoho will continue to improve

Super Eagles Goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has said that Francis Uzoho will come good despite the few mistakes he made in the doubleheader Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya last weekend and on Tuesday.

Uzoho was partially culpable for the two goals against the Eagles in Tunisia and he was found to be jittery at the start of the first leg game in Uyo on Saturday. Agu told SportingLife.ng that he is hoping to note all the areas the Etche goalkeeper must improve on.

He praised the courage of Uzoho who despite his initial issues still settled down to make some great saves in Uyo and in Tunisia that prevented the Libyans from wreaking further havoc.

“Uzoho is still a 19-year-old goalkeeper and he will make mistakes and correct them. He made some few errors which would be corrected but he also saved goal scoring opportunities too. He should be praised,” Agu told SportingLife.ng.

“He will improve and be a further great goalkeeper. Besides him, we also have Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi who are also doing well too but only a goalkeeper can get the nod at every point in time.”
