All race and play: Dina Asher-Smith shows off her gym-honed figure

Dina Asher-Smith showed off her gym-honed figure as she posed in colourful bikinis while on holiday in Hawaii on Thursday.

The sprinter, 27, slipped into a red patterned number as she frolicked in the sea while her toned abs and impressive muscles were on display.

Another shot saw her in a skimpy green number while looking out over the stunning views as she pinned back her curly dark tresses.

In a different image her friends snapped them as they drank cocktails while she wore a halterneck two piece.

Also in the album there was a picture where she wore a colourful shirt and captured a beautiful sunset.

Asher-Smith was just 17 when she made her debut at a World Championships a decade ago – a year after she was trackside as a kit-carrier on Super Saturday at London 2012.

At that 2013 meeting in Moscow, she ran the first leg in the 4x100metres relay.

The British quartet finished fourth but were later upgraded to a bronze after second-placed France were disqualified, giving them their first women’s sprint relay world medal in 30 years.

‘I’ve been talking about that a lot,’ said Dina recently of the start of her career. ‘It was just so amazing to think that at 17, they trusted me enough to put me on the first leg.

‘We ended up coming away with the bronze medal and it was part of an amazing transition for the entire relay set-up.

‘The women didn’t make the Olympics the year before and since then we’ve been consistently one of the best in the world.

‘Ten years ago – it’s really crazy. There are a lot of things I’ve learned since then. But the number one thing would be to believe and don’t limit yourself.

She added of her career trajectory: ‘Sometimes it’s nice to just float through. I don’t mind what is said before because we don’t run on paper, we run on the track.

‘I just feel really good. I’ve been feeling really good for the whole season. I have a lot of experience now to just know what feeling good within myself results in.

‘I love championships. I like the challenge, I like the rounds. I like having to be really stringent on how you recover, how you get back, how you sleep and then go again the next day.

‘The championships really suit me. I’m just genuinely really excited. I’ll leave it at that.’
