All work and no play: EPL stars jet off on holidays

Some of the Premier League’s biggest stars wasted no time heading to sunnier shores after the end of the season.

Sunday’s dramatic final day saw the title race, top four and relegation all decided in what was an exciting conclusion to the 2021-22 campaign.

This has been a grueling season for gamers and many were eager to fly out quickly to start their relaxation time over the holidays.

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha finished his season on a high, scoring the only goal in a final-day 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Zaha was seen on Instagram feasting on some noodles aboard a private plane when he and girlfriend Paige Bannister went on vacation.

Digne’s Villa teammate Leon Bailey relaxed as he took a private jet to start his own vacation.

It’s unclear where exactly the pair headed, as the latest Instagram story on Bannister’s profile shows them holding hands in a taxi.

Zaha’s teammate Joachim Andersen wasted no time either, walking away while sharing a poolside Instagram selfie.

The towering central defender has thrived under Patrick Vieira this season and has more than earned some time off, giving the camera a thumbs up while lounging on a poolside lounger.

Aston Villa ended the season in emotionally draining scenes at the Etihad Stadium as they went from 2-0 to losing 3-2, allowing Manchester City to seal their last Premier League title.

Lucas Digne started at left-back for Villa in Sunday’s loss and will no doubt be distracted now after traveling to Barcelona on a family holiday.

The Frenchman was seen at Oassis Natural Cooking, a pizzeria in Barcelona on Tuesday afternoon, alongside his wife Tiziri and son Isahoet and daughter Inhaya
