Nigeria born former England international Eni Aluko has called on Chelsea and their fans to be patient with Coach Frank Lampard insisting he has the capacity to deliver.
The former Chelsea and Juventus ladies ace noted that Chelsea have always been impatient with their coaches adding that mounting pressures on a coach compounds rather than remedy a situation.
“Chelsea is in my heart, it’s my club, but I think we know they’re not too patient when it comes to managers. But I hope, I really do, they give Frank time. He did a great job last year, without being able to sign players, “she submitted.
Meanwhile Some Chelsea fans have called for Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers to replace Frank Lampard after masterminding a win over the Blues.
The Foxes comfortably saw off the Stamford Bridge team in a 2-0 win at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday to the disdain of some Blue fans he believe that the team is sliding dangerously.
It means that the Premier League giants have only won two of their last eight games, sitting eighth in the table and nine points off new leaders Leicester.
The poor run of form has seen pressure pile on Lampard before kick off in the Midlands, with calls for his sacking growing.
And the Blues faithful called for the 42-year-old to be replaced by Rodgers, who started his coaching career at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho.
“Chelsea will do well to go for Brendan Rodgers,” one supporter said.
“He’s a proper manager and will do wonders with these players at Lampard’s disposal.”
Another commented: “I really wish that Brendan Rodgers does become Chelsea manager one day.”
While a third suggested how the Northern Irishman would make his impact at Stamford Bridge.
“Brendan Rodgers is a world class coach,” they said.
