Details of the surprise transfer of Super Eagles invitee Akinkunmi Amoo to Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia from Danish champions FC Copenhagen have emerged.
According to Ekstra Bladet, FC Copenhagen did not receive a transfer fee on the 21-year Amoo, who they bought for about three Million Euros in January 2022.

However, the Danish champions will receive bonus payments from Omonia depending on the player’s performance.
They will also get between 40-50% share from the subsequent transfer of the player.
Amoo has signed a contract till the summer of 2026.
Omonia sporting director Jesper Jansson, who first brought Amoo to Swedish club Hammaby, said the petite winger has got a second chance in his career.
“We actually know Amoo very well. The last year and a half has been difficult for him,” he said.
“But we have agreed with FCK that we will give him a second chance in his career.”
