Ancelotti: I’m in Everton to improve Iwobi,others  

Carlo Ancelotti says he is in Everton to improve the standard of play of the team and make the players more useful to the club and their respective national teams.

Ancelotti said this while outlining his “dream to bring success” to ambitious Everton as the Blues’ new manager spoke of his pride to take charge of “one of the greatest clubs in England”.

Ancelotti, who has won multiple league titles and European honours as both a player and manager, signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Everton and wants his team and the Blues’ passionate fans to keep together in the Club’s bid for success.

“I’m excited to be here at one of the greatest clubs in England,” Ancelotti told evertontv in his first interview as Blues manager.

“I enjoy the team, the Club. This is a club with a lot of ambition, with great history, I think the squad is good. I am here to improve the team and add better quality to the squad and I’ll try to do my best.

“Our goal is to be competitive in the Premier League, to be towards the top of the table, to be competitive in Europe. It’s not going to happen straight away but we have to work for this.

“Ambition is for us to try to win and be competitive. The goal is there to reach the Champions League or Europa League. Winning honours has to be the dream for this club and for the supporters. I am here to try to do this.
