How do you stay cool ahead of your first fight at boxing’s mecca? Anthony Joshua seems to have the right idea.

The unbeaten British boxer will make his American debut in a heavyweight world title contest against Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1.

And he is carrying out the right preparation, dipping into an ice bath on Tuesday morning.

Joshua captioned the photograph on his Instagram: ‘What’s cooler than being cool?!’

The IBF, WBA and WBO champion also insisted he was not underestimating Ruiz and that he was a ‘championship’ level fighter.

‘It’s not about what you look like – it’s a craft, a skill,’ he said. ‘What’s in your heart and head matters in the end.

‘Andy has shown he has all that, he can fight and box, that’s what matters.

‘I think Andy is a great challenger and will bring it on June 1. All I’ve heard is “AJ will smash him in a round”.
