Appreciation: Okoye pays emotional tribute to Rohr, says ‘you turned my career around’

Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has paid tribute to former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the role he played in his development.

Rohr lost his job as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and was replaced by ex-international Austin Eguaveon.

Reacting to Rohr’s departure, Okoye took to his social media handle to express gratitude to the Franco-German tactician for helping become Nigeria’s number.

“You turned my young football career around, helped me, and gave this career a big boost.”
