Argentina ‘premeditated’ to win World Cup 2022, says Ex-Holland coach Van Gaal

Former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has made an outlandish claim about the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Van Gaal, who saw his Netherlands lose to Argentina in the knockout rounds, claimed that last year’s World Cup was predetermined.

The outspoken coach made the claim that the tournament in Qatar was rigged to help Lionel Messi finally lift the trophy.

Van Gaal Dutch outlet NOS: “I don’t really want to say much about it.

“When you see how Argentina gets the goals and how we get the goals, and how some Argentina players overstepped the mark and were not punished, then I think it was all a premeditated game.”

Asked if he had anything else to say, Van Gaal added: “I mean everything I say.

“That Messi should become world champion? I think so, yes.”
