Arsenal deal for Real Madrid loanee Odegaard hinges on two factors

Arsenal are hoping to secure Martin Odegaard permanently in the summer.

The Gunners have been delighted with the Norway international since he arrived on loan in January from Real.

And according to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Odegaard and Arsenal are both happy with the arrangement and may want to make it permanent.

However, Arsenal will have to talk to Real, and the opinion of their manager Zinedine Zidane will be the most important factor.

If Zidane wants to use Odegaard, then he would return to Real.

Los Blancos would also have to lower their asking price for Odegaard.

The 22-year-old currently has a release clause of £300m, which is an unrealistic amount for any club, let alone Arsenal.
