Arsenal target 25-year-old striker

Mikel Arteta has reportedly identified the ideal signing to solve Arsenal’s centre-forward problems this summer.

Despite the efforts of Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, and Kai Havertz upfront this season, none have proven consistently prolific.

Additionally, injury troubles have sidelined Jesus during crucial matches, highlighting the urgent need for a reliable goal-scoring option in Arteta’s squad.

MilanLive reports that the Premier League leaders are set to pursue Gyokeres and are prepared to meet his £85m release clause.

AC Milan are also credited with a firm interest but are unlikely to have the funds needed to compete with the North London club.

Arsenal retain an interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic but both deals may be more difficult to get over the line.

Gyokeres could be a more straightforward deal, considering the lower release clause.

The 25-year-old has scored 36 goals in 39 appearances for Sporting this season.
