Arteta believes  Calvert-Lewin could solve Arsenal’s attacking issues

Mikel Arteta strongly believes that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the man considered to solve Arsenal’s attacking problems.

One of Arsenal boss Arteta’s secondary priorities in this summer’s transfer window is to sign a new striker.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both failed to fire last season, with scoring goals becoming a major problem for the Gunners.

But in a move they hope will boost their attacking output after finishing as the lowest scorers in the top-eight, Arsenal are sizing up a bid for  Calvert-Lewin.

The Englishman impressed for the Toffees last term, scoring 21 goals in all competitions under Carlo Ancelotti.

And it seems that Arteta believes Calvert-Lewin can be the man to solve his side’s attacking issues as he looks to guide a recovery from a disappointing season.

According to The Telegraph, the Gunners will be willing to pay as much as £50million to sign the England international.
