Arteta plans to beef-up Arsenal defence with three new players

Mikel Arteta has plans for three new signings in his quest to beef-up Arsenal defence.

France Football says Arteta, who takes charge of his first game as Arsenal boss when Arsenal visited Bournemouth on Boxing Day, has delivered three transfer demands to Emirates chiefs.

It is claimed that the manager wants to sign two central defenders and a defensive midfielder when the transfer window reopens in less than a week.

Defence is a priority for Arteta, who is seemingly concerned by the fact that Arsenal have kept just three clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

Arteta wants to prioritise the signing of two new defenders next month, with RB Lepizig’s Dayot Upamecano among the targets.
