Athletics: Amusan gets a house, N5m gift from Ogun State Governor
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has rewarded rave of the moment, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, with a house and sum of N5million for her recent outstanding prowess in the World Athletics championships in America and the Commonwealth Games event in Birmingham.
Amusan was also appointed a Youth Ambassador in Ogun State.
“I announced her (Amusan ) appointment as Youth Ambassador in Ogun State and a donation of a house, as well as five million Naira in recognition of her world records and other stellar achievements,” the governor wrote on his official Twitter handle.

The Nigeria’s queen of the track, an indigene of the state made history at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States of America in June by claiming gold medal in the 100m hurdles.
The 25-year-old was the first Nigerian athlete to achieve the feat.
Amusan scorched to a 12.12s world record at the semi-final stage of the World Athletics Championships.
She was crowned world champion in the final a day later.
The dark skinned athlete is the reigning African, Commonwealth and World 100m hurdles champion.
