Athletics Federation begs Nigerians to vote for Big Brother Naija housemate Mike

 

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria, (AFN) has called upon Nigerians to vote for High jumper, Mike Olayemi Edwards to win the 2019 Big Brother Nigeria which will end on October 6.

Mike was a gold medalist at the last National Sports Festival

Mike a gold medalist at the last edition of the National Sports Festival held in Abuja is in contention for the N60 million prize money along with four other housemates. He is also the head of the house.

According to the AFN, Technical Director, Sunday Adeleye, Mike has been a model to the Nigerians youth and the athletics family in the ongoing reality show.

“An athlete, a responsible Nigerian and a good husband and also a reliable member of the athletics family by extension, he has shown good example so far through his behavior in the house”

“He has proved to be a good role model to our children, the youth and the athletes. The federation is proud of him and the entire athletes in the running world and sports family all share the same sentiment”, the Technical director affirmed.

“The Sports World will largely benefit from this as it will open doors for young athletes to take athletics as a professional career and embrace the opportunities that lie therein.

“Mike also has shown that athletics is a sport that encourages discipline and self control hence it will encourage children to come into athletics, so I appeal to all Nigerians to vote for Mike so that he can win this edition of the Big Brother Nigeria” he concluded.
