Atletico Madrid revive interest in Arsenal striker Lacazette

Atletico Madrid are reviving their interest in Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Off contract in June, Lacazette hasn’t heard from the club about a new deal and is resigning himself to leaving some time in 2022.

According to Le 10 Sport, Atletico have long maintained contact with Lacazette’s agents and talks have intensified in recent weeks.

Atletico view the Frenchman as an ideal Bosman for next summer – and could secure him to a pre-contract in January.

For his part, Lacazette has welcomed the prospect, particularly knowing how highly he is regarded by Atletico coach Diego Simeone.
