Bale, Reguilon fly to London to complete Tottenham deals – report

Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are flying to London today in order to complete and finalize the details of their moves to Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report from Sky Sports.

For Bale, Tottenham will pay around 50% of his current wages, with Madrid taking care of the other half. It will be a one-year loan deal but the clubs could ultimately decide to extend it for another season. As things stand right now and without official confirmation from the clubs, Bale could return to Madrid next summer for the last year of his contract.

Reguilon’s case is different. Tottenham are paying €30 million for his transfer but Real Madrid managed to include an option to buy him back for a price reported to be around €40 million during the next two years.

Considering that Marcelo has already entered his decline and his contract will expire in 2022, Reguilon has a good chance of returning to the club in the summer of 2022 if he performs well for the Spurs.

Expect official confirmations about the two deals fairly soon.
