Balogun taking selfie with fans and teammates
Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun was ecstatic on Saturday afternoon following Mainz 05 safety from relegation in the 2017/18 Bundesliga season.
The 29-year-old who is World Cup bound was not part of the match as he just returned to training but his teammates produced a shocker with a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.
The win confirmed Mainz escape from relegation and the Nigerian celebrated widely with teammates and took a giant selfie with the fans.

“What a way to be safe in the league!!!,” Balogun tweeted. “It was a hard season with a lot of ups and downs.
“This year defo showed us that every single soul is needed to reach our goals. Congrats to the whole club, the team, the staff, the employees, family & friends and of course the fans.”
Mainz now have 36points after 33matches with just one game left in the German Bundesliga this season.
