Barcelona to beef-up defence with three new players

Barcelona are seeking a cut-price option to strengthen their central defence this summer.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca intend to sell Samuel Umtiti at the end of the season and will seek to sign a direct replacement.

Real Betis’ off contract stopper Aissa Mandi is interesting the Catalans, as is Feyenoord’s Marco Senesi.

But Barca’s top target is AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli, who could become available this summer.

Tied to Milan until 2022, Romagnoli has lost his first-choice status this season.
