Barcelona turn down £13m bid from EPL club

LaLiga giants Barcelona have rejected a £13 million bid from an unnamed English Premier League club for midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

The Croatian international has run out of favor with manager Ernesto Valverde, having started just one game all season.

He has spent over five years with the club but that is gradually coming to an end.

Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the 31-year-old, but it is believed to be another Premier League club who
have made a bid well short of Barca’s £30million asking price, according to Spanish outlet SPORT.

The media outfit report that Rakitic has made it clear on several occasions recently that he is not satisfied with the role
he currently has in Barcelona having lost his place in the side.

An offer of around 15 million euros has already been received from a Premier League club, a figure which is a long way short
of what Barca hope to bring in for the former Sevilla player (around 35 million).
