Barcelona Women officially crowned champions

Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has officially terminated the women’s championship, crowning Barcelona Femenì champions.

Together with Atletico Madrid, sitting second in the suspended table, they qualify for the next Champions League.

The decision has seemed set for the last month and Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu already congratulated his team for winning the championship on May 8.

Santa Teresa and Eibar will be promoted to the Liga Iberdrola next season, taking the total tally to 18 teams in the next championship.
