Barcelona ‘yet to decide on Traore’s long-term deal’

Barcelona have reportedly not yet decided whether they will be signing Adama Traore on a permanent deal during this summer’s transfer window.

The Spain international returned to Camp Nou in January, joining Xavi’s side on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.

Traore has been in strong form for the Catalan giants since his return, providing four assists in six appearances, while he has started three of their four La Liga matches since his arrival.

Barcelona have the option to make the deal permanent this summer for a fee in the region of £25m, but according to AS, the club are yet to make a decision on his long-term future.

The report claims that the La Liga outfit want to see how Traore performs for the remainder of the campaign before deciding whether to re-sign him.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s proposed move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland could also have an impact on whether the Spaniard re-joins the club permanently.

Traore’s current deal with Wolves is due to expire in the summer of 2023.
