Apart from the interest recently shown by the star-studded FC Barcelona for France’s Ligue 1,  Lille star, the  21-year-old striker,  is also attracting deals from Bayern Munich and AC Milan, according to the website Soccer Link.

Osimhen can play across the front line, although he’s best through the middle. After spells with Wolfsburg and Charleroi, he joined Lille last summer for around 12 million euros.

He’s quickly become a key player for his new club and has scored eight goals and set up two more across 14 games in the league and the Champions League.

Lillle signed Osimhen to fill the gap left by the departures of Nicolas Pépé (Arsenal) and Rafael Leao (AC Milan) and he has so far lived up to the demands.

Barça are looking for a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, who turns 33 in January. There is no other out-and-out No.9 in Ernesto Valverde’s squad at the moment.

Meanwhile, Osimhen had said the experiences he had at Wolfsburg and Sporting Charleroi, as well Christophe Gatlier’s warm reception, have helped him settled down well in Lille.

After helping Nigeria lift the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, Osimhen sealed a move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg where he played 14 top-flight games in two seasons.

He struggled to establish himself in the German city and thus, secured a move to Belgium where he played the entire 2018-19 season and scored 12 goals in 25 league matches.
