Bayern, Spurs fans smell something as Muller,Kane chat

Bayern Munich want Harry Kane and Tottenham Hotspur fans may have spotted a chat with Thomas Muller on Monday night.

England took on Germany on Monday night, hosting a Wembley clash with boss Gareth Southgate under huge pressure.

The Three Lions have been dreadful in this UEFA Nations League campaign but at least showed some fight against Germany.

2-0 down in the second half, England roared to 3-2 up with goals from Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Kane himself.

England couldn’t quite land the win as Kai Havertz equalised, but a 3-3 draw has at least shown some grit and quality in the England ranks.

Kane went up against Germany against the backdrop of rumours about a move to Bayern Munich.

Bayern lost their star goalscorer Robert Lewandowski this summer as he decided to leave Bavaria for Barcelona.

Despite having Sadio Mane in the fold Bayern are reportedly still interested in adding Kane as he emerges a key target for 2023

Kicker now report that Bayern have made ‘gentle’ contact with Kane’s representatives to try and engineer a huge transfer.

That has to leave Tottenham very worried; Kane is out of contract in 2024 and Bayern’s interest may well turn his head.

One interesting note emerged from Monday’s game between England and Germany though as Kane was approached by Bayern star Thomas Muller.

Channel 4’s highlights video shows Muller going up to Kane at the full-time whistle for a brief chat.

Maybe this was just two world-class players talking after a close game.

Yet these nudges from players trying to recruit new teammates do happen and few at Bayern would complain if Muller was just telling Kane to make the move to Munich.

Tottenham will certainly hope that isn’t the case, but this chat has set tongues wagging on social media with Bayern fans wondering whether there were transfer connotations to their conversation.
