Best national team coach: Rohr rated 19th in the world
Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has been ranked 19th best coach in the world according to German-based International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
The body revealed on Wednesday, November 27, that the Franco-German tactician is behind Aliou Cisse of Senegal, Nicolas Dupuis of Madagascar and Algeria, Djamel Belmadi who occupied the top four in Africa.

Djamel led Algeria to the 2019 African Cup of Nations title in Egypt, their first since 1990, at the expense of Cisse’s Senegal, while Nicolas Dupuis masterminded a win over Nigeria and qualified for the AFCON knock out stage as the table topper.
Meanwhile, Rohr shared the 19th position with Jan Olof Andersson (Sweden), Paulo Bento (South Korea), Age Hareide (Denmark), Marcello Lippi (China), Oleksandr Petrakov (Ukraine U20) and Marc Wilmots (Iran).

Portugal’s Fernando Santos, was ranked as the first of the summit after leading the Selecao to the UEFA Nations League glory in June 2019 and also qualified them for Euro next year.
