Bombshell for Barcelona!

Paris Saint-Germain are plotting an ambitious €200m offer for Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal as they look to replace Kylian Mbappe.

The Ligue 1 giants are looking to replace outgoing Kylian Mbappe, who is all set to join Real Madrid in the summer. According to Marca, PSG are preparing a massive €200m (£170m/$218m) offer for Barcelona’s 16-year-old wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona are reportedly aware of the French club’s interest in their star player and his agent Jorge Mendes recently met club president Joan Laporta to formally inform him about the offer. Despite their financial crisis, the reigning La Liga giants are unlikely to part ways with the youngster just one year after promoting him to the senior side. The 16-year-old has enjoyed a rich vein of form in the current 2023/24 season having appeared in 37 matches across all competitions where he scored four times and provided six assists.

Yamal has four La Liga goals so far this season, twice as many as any other player at the same age in LaLiga history. The forward does not turn 17 until July.

For now, Xavi’s side will look to secure a Champions League quarter-final berth as they are all set to take on Napoli in the second leg of their round of 16 fixture on Tuesday.
