BREAKING: Ghana Uruguay crash out of the World cup

Maiden world Cup host Uruguay battled to the finish on Friday night against hard fighting Ghana but exited the world cup all the same .

The encounter started with Ghana’s Andre Ayew missing penalty that should have shot Ghana ahead. Uruaguay subsequently led by two goals to nil but needed an extra goal to scale through a miracle that failed to happen as South Korea defeated Portugal to claim the second spot of the group.

When that 2-0 win was confirmed, a huge roar went around Education City Stadium, and South Korea were able to start the party for real.
