Brother of Pogba accuses Man Utd of ‘making him false promises’

Brother of French football star,  Paul Pogba has hit out at Manchester United.

Mathias has accused United of making “false promises” to the France international during his first spell at Old Trafford, insisting he convinced him to join Juventus.

Pogba is out-of-contract at the club in the summer and is not expected to commit his future to United, with an exit seemingly imminent. It is currently unclear where Pogba will go next, but Juventus have been credited with interest in signing him for a second time.

But when the Turin outfit signed him almost 10 years ago, it was Pogba’s older brother that played a key role in convincing him to join the Old Lady. He has admitted that he joined Juventus as a result of him almost forcing the United star to make the move.

“Not only did I push him a little: it’s thanks to me that he signed there,” Pogba’s brother admitted, speaking to So Foot. “I convinced him, 100 per cent.

“And look at the player he has become. In Manchester, they were making him false promises.”

Explaining what role he has had in the France international’s career, he added: “The role of a big brother, quite simply: no more, no less. I will advise until my death.”
