Bundesliga: Taiwo Awoniyi nets again for Union Berlin
Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi was on target for Union Berlin’s 2-0 win against Wolfsburg in a Bundesliga fixture on Saturday.
The hosts went in front within five minutes of the restart, after Genki Haraguchi played Max Kruse’s pass into the path of Awoniyi who finished it in style.
Awoniyi, who made his debut for Nigeria in the shocking 1-0 defeat to the Central African Republic last week Thursday, has now scored six goals for Urs Fischer’s men in all the league and only Robert Lewandowski and Erling Halland have scored more.
