C/ League miss: Ndidi assures City fans predicts bright future

Super Eagles ace Wilfred Ndidi has admitted that missing Champions League spot was painful for him and his Leicester City teammates but was quick to predict that next season will be better for the foxes.

The Nigerian international who only few days back joined the league of compatriots, who have won the English FA cup, took to the social media Monday to express his regrets on one hand and commend the fans for the unflinching support despite the odds.

“Unfortunately we didn’t hit our target but we come back stronger next season. Oh yeah we made history 🏆 😍

Thank you all for your support throughout the season, it was amazing seeing most of you at the stadium,” he said

The former Genk star has become a must play for Leicester City thanks to his consistency, posting a record 175 appearances for the side with seven goals to his credit.

Teammate and compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho turned into a goal machine recently as they fought tooth and nail in the hope of finishing top four in the Premier league, a desire which melted like ice as the Brendan Rodgers tutored side ended up in the 5th position with 20 points below league champions Manchester City.

With Europa slot guaranteed and an FA cup trophy in the kitty the Foxes some say efforts of the foxes did not go in vain after all.
