CAF Confed. Cup: Iwuala ‘missing’ as Pyramids thrash Enyimba in Cairo

Super Eagles winger Anayo Iwuala was ‘missing’ from Enyimba line-up in the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarters at the Air Defense stadium on Sunday.

The enounter ended 4-1 in favour of the home-side saw second half substitute Ibrahim Adel netting twice to help the Cairo=based outfit a comeback win over The People’s Elephant.

The veteran keeper tried to round Nbaoma inside the area but the Nigerian striker robbed him to score in an empty net.

Winger Ramadan Sobhi leveled the score after 14 minutes when he dispossessed the last defender, rounded the keeper to score also in an empty net.

Pyramids FC were on the offence but Ghanaian striker John Antwi failed to make any impact squandering many chances.

Argentinean boss Rodolfo Arruabarrena had to take him off introducing Ibrahim Adel at the break.

The 20-year-old needed only four minutes to make his presence felt. He fed El-Said on the left side of the area whose curling shot went into the bottom of the net of the Nigerian side.

The youth forward turned from provider to scorer as he added the third with a wonderful bicycle kick in the 58th minute before adding the fourth eight minutes later from point blank.
