CAFCC: Miracle in Aba as Enyimba reach quarter-finals with late goal
Two-time African champions Enyimba needed a miracle on Wednesday night to reach the quarter=finals of the CAF Confederation Cup after netting a last minute goal against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates.
The Aba giants had to wait until the 95th minute when Cyril Olisemah struck from close range from a cross provided by Anayo Iwuala.

With this result, Enyimba claimed top spot in the difficult group with nine points, qualifying alongside Pirates who also ended the group phrase with nine points.

Interestingly, the two North African teams in the group, Setif of Algeria and Libya’s Ahli Benghazi were eliminated.
Meanwhile, Setif defeated Ahli by a lone goal on Wednesday night, but her total points haul of eight was not enough to see them progress to the next round.
