Cande tips Nigeria to lift AFCON if they do one thing right
Guinea Bissau head coach, Baciro Cande, says Nigeria has what it takes to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Cande’s side bid the competition goodbye after finishing bottom of Group A with zero points out of possible nine.
The Wild Dogs lost 2-0 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire, 4-2 Equatorial Guinea and then 1-0 to Nigeria on Monday night.
On their part, the Super Eagles finished second with goal difference separating the Jose Peseiro’s men and Equatorial Guinea as both side ended group phase with seven points.

Cande is however convinced that Nigeria can lift the trophy, if they raise their game.
“Nigeria have a good team, a lot of quality players including Victor Osimhen who is Africa’s best player,” Cande told the media after the game.
“It is a team I know very well and I believe they will go far in this competition. I believe they can win it. They are now among the favourites.”
