CHAN Final: Eagles can do it, says Ifeanyi

Super Eagles B midfielder Ifeanyi Ifeanyi is confident that Nigeria will come out victorious when they meet Morocco in today’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) final at the Stade de Mohammed V, Casablanca, Morocco.

The Akwa United playmaker will miss today’s final due to the red card he received in the last game against Sudan in the semifinal.

In a chat with SportingLife, Ifeanyi admitted that he felt bad missing the final but he is happy that Nigeria made it to the final.

“I am human and I should feel bad but surely I am happy because Nigeria made it to the final and I am confident that my colleagues that will play in the final will make Nigeria proud,” Ifeanyi said.

The former Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) star said Morocco will be under pressure playing in front of their fans.

“I know full well that we are not going to play under pressure and by the grace of God we will come out victorious. We are playing against them on their home soil, and I think Morocco will be under pressure to deliver in front of their fans. Cameroon beat Nigeria to lift AFCON 2000 trophy and there is nothing stopping us to do the same here today.
