Chelsea choose to trigger buy-back option for Nathan Ake

Chelsea are ready to trigger the buy-back option in the deal of Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.

Sky Sports says Chelsea have put aside the £40m needed to trigger the option in Ake’s contract.

The Blues intend to wrap up the deal before the end of the season.

Holland international Ake was brought to England by Chelsea before being sold to the Cherries.

This season, Ake has scored goals from the back and produce one assist in 23 Premier League matches.
