Chelsea fans slam ’embarrassing’ limited edition kit celebrating Champions League triumph

Chelsea fans have slammed their new limited edition kit celebrating their Champions League win as ’embarrassing’.

The European champions are charging fans £195 a shirt with only 420 available to buy.

The commemorative shirts sold out, of course. But fans are far from happy, blasting the design.

UCL final hero Kai Havertz is on the shirt, celebrating his winner in Porto.

Midfield general N’Golo Kante has a special feature, alongside boss Thomas Tuchel and the starting line-up.

The shirt – in collaboration with Dodici Otto – will be sent to fans who bought it in special box signed by the artist.

The shirt has been labelled as ‘disgraceful’ by others.

A Chelsea fan commented: “Saw it earlier, if there was ever a disgraceful shirt to sum up modern football..this is it.”

Some fans joked about paying the £195 to NEVER see the shirt again.

One said: “how do I pay £195 to make sure I never have to look at this monstrosity again?”

Chelsea continued their campaign to retain their European title with a 4-0 win over Malmo.

The Blues sit second in the group, three points behind leaders Juventus – who have won all three of their games so far.

Tuchel has also been dealt a HUGE injury blow with both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner being taken off in last night’s win.

The German said he expects to be without the attacking pair for ‘some days’.

He told BT Sport: “We have a twist of the ankle for Romelu, and muscle injury and hamstring for Timo, so they will be some days out I guess.

“Normally we are in a good place injury wise, only Christian Pulisic is out, but we miss everybody.

“We have a lot of games, lot of competitions, so now we have to deal and find solutions, no excuses.

“The two were in good shape, they are dangerous and can create and score so now we need to find solutions and guys who waited for their chance need to step up and score.

“The race is on, the guys who start against Norwich have our trust and we will try to find new solutions.

‘We have won games before with Werner and Lukaku, we don’t want these problems too often but it happens during a season.”
