Chelsea are determined to sell striker Michy Batshuayi this summer, but their asking price and his wage demands are proving problematic for the Blues, as both West Ham and Crystal Palace have said no.
Batshuayi has found himself increasingly on the fringes at Stamford Bridge, struggling to establish himself under a series of managers.
That has been exacerbated under Frank Lampard, who, even when other strikers have been injured, has been reluctant to hand the Belgian his chance.
They explain that Chelsea is keen to move him on from Stamford Bridge this summer, mainly as he is in the final year of his contract and they don’t want to lose out on a transfer fee.
However, both their demands and Batshuayi’s are proving to be problematic and ensure getting rid is not an ‘easy job’.
Batshuayi is on €130,000 a week while the Blues are keen to recoup ‘some’ of the £40m they paid for him in 2016.
Those demands have already seen Crystal Palace drop out of the running. The striker spent time on loan with the Eagles last season, but they consider him ‘too expensive’ and believe he ‘barely represents resale value’.

West Ham have also turned their noses up to a potential deal, particularly after the striker ‘rejected’ the Hammers ‘twice’ in the past.
