Chelsea ‘planning £150m transfer splurge in January’

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly set to be offered £150m to spend in January if the club’s transfer embargo is lifted.

According to The Sun, the former Derby County boss will be encouraged to spend on reinforcements if the appeal is successful, despite the club’s youngsters stepping up remarkably and leading them to a fairly strong start to the season, both domestically and in the Champions League.

Chelsea have money available following the sale of Eden Hazard in the summer and it is believed that they are looking for additions in both attack and defence.
