Chelsea set price ceiling pay for Dortmund winger

Chelsea have set themselves a price ceiling to pay for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Jadon Sancho

The Daily Express says Chelsea remain interested in signing Sancho in January but are unwilling to go as high as the £100m Borussia Dortmund have quoted them ahead of the winter transfer window.

Sancho, a boyhood Blues fan, is on Frank Lampard’s wish list with the Chelsea boss being given cash to splash after the west Londoners’ transfer ban was cut in half.

Sancho is – along with Wilfried Zaha and Timo Werner – one of a number of forwards Chelsea are keen on buying in the new year.

However, Roman Abramovich and Co. have decided to hold off pursuing a deal if Dortmund will not climb down from the whopping £100m valuation they have put on the 19-year-old’s head.
