Chelsea stars spotted at Silverstone British Grand Prix ahead of return to pre-season training

Two Chelsea stars, alongside the likes of other Premier League players such as Liverpool’s  Trent Alexander-Arnold have been spotted watching the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday afternoon.

A handful of Blues players returned to early pre-season on Saturday ahead of jetting off to the USA for their tour on July 9.

Others, including the Nations League players and others who have been competing in international tournaments over the off-season, have been given more time off to recuperate ahead of returning to prepare for the 2022/23 campaign.

These include the likes of Mason Mount and Reece James. Their return is scheduled to be at some point next week ahead of the trip to Los Angeles but whilst on their summer break, the two players have been spotted at the Northamptonshire track to witness Spanish driver Carlos Sainz win his first race.

Both had been pictured prior to the race with fans of the footballing duo. Blues manager Thomas Tuchel will be relying on the pair next season to produce the goods for Chelsea, as they look to close the gap on defending champions Manchester City.

Chelsea’s first game of the new Premier League campaign comes against Everton at Goodison Park on August 6, before London rivals Tottenham come to Stamford Bridge a week later.
