Chelsea still pushing to sign Caicedo from Brighton
Chelsea are still pushing to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo with five days to go until the transfer window closes.
One source has told Sky Sports News a transfer in January seems very unlikely as the clubs are “not in the same ball park” regarding valuations.
Brighton have no intention of selling in this window. Last week, head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: “The best solution is that he finishes the season with us and in the summer he changes teams.”

Caicedo has two-and-a-half years left on his contract – and is unlikely to sign a new one. As a result, Brighton will be doing due diligence on a potential succession plan.
RB Leipzig head coach Marco Rose says midfielder Amadou Haidara will not leave this month amid reported interest from Brighton.
