Chukwueze wins Man Of The Match Award In Villarreal’s Win Against Mallorca
Nigeria international, Samuel Chukuweze was on Tuesday voted the man-of-the-match for Villarreal in their hard-fought lone goal victory against Real Mallorca at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Playing at home, Chukwueze who was also named the most stylish player by the Yellow Submarines provided the assist that led to the winning goal scored by Carlos Bacca in the 15th minute.
Only last Saturday, Chuklwueze provided the assist in Villarreal’s 1-0 win away at Celta Vigo.
The 22-year-old showed he was ready for the match with his pacy runs down the wing, muzzling his way past the defender before connecting Bacca who had no difficulties in putting the ball into an open net.
He had an overall rating 8.1 points ahead of Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo (7.9), Mallorca’s Juan Hernández (7.9), Villarreal duo of Pau Torres (7.2) and Raúl Albiol (7.2).
Before the restart of the La Liga, Chukwueze had scored three goals and provided four assists in 28 league appearances.
It is the club’s second win in a row as well as two clean sheets, giving them the right to dream of European football.

He should continue his good form when Villarreal take on Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes on Friday.
